This qualification is designed for professionals working in community services, case management, and social housing, who are responsible for coordinating, managing, and delivering services to individuals, groups, or communities. At this level, workers possess specialised skills, operate independently under broad guidance, and may be involved in supervising staff and volunteers.

The CHC52025 Diploma of Community Services (Case Management) equips learners with the expertise needed to support people facing complex social challenges, preparing them for meaningful roles across the broader community services sector.

  1. To enrol in the Diploma in Community Services (CHC2025), domestic applicants must:

    1. Be 18 years of age or older.
    2. Have completed Year 10 or higher (or equivalent education).
    3. Possess basic English and numeracy skills (a Language, Literacy and Numeracy [LLN] assessment may be required).
    4. Have basic digital literacy and access to a computer or tablet.
    5. Be physically capable of performing care-related duties, including manual handling tasks.
    6. Hold, or be willing to obtain, the following before commencing work placement:
      • National Police Check
      • Working With Children Check
      • NDIS Worker Screening Check
      • Up-to-date immunisations (as per NSW Health guidelines)

1. 104 weeks total duration

2. 20 hours per week, including:

  •  16 hours of scheduled training and practical simulations/workshops
  • 4 hours of self-paced learning through the Learning Management System (LMS)

3. 120 hours of mandatory work placement completed over 3 weeks

4. Rolling enrolments available – students can commence throughout the year

After earning the Diploma of Community Services, you can pursue a Bachelor of Community Services, Social Work, or Nursing.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

You can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) if you have relevant skills, knowledge, work experience, or previous study related to the course.

RPL may be granted through:

All RPL applications are assessed individually by qualified trainers and assessors in accordance with BIC policies and training package requirements.

All training sessions are conducted at our office located at Suite 1, Level 4, 126 Church Street, Parramatta NSW 2150, adjacent to the railway station.
