Student Support Services
At Bristol International College, we are committed to supporting students throughout their entire learning journey. We provide academic and non-academic support services to help students successfully complete their course, achieve their goals, and maintain their wellbeing.
Our support services are available to all students and are delivered in a respectful, inclusive and confidential manner, subject to our duty of care and legal obligations.

How we identify & support students at risk
At BIC, we actively monitor student progress to identify students who may require additional support as early as possible. Our goal is to ensure students receive the right support at the right time.

Orientation & Student Induction
A comprehensive orientation program to help students transition smoothly into study, covering the college environment, learning resources, policies, and support services.
Study Skills Support
Assistance with time management, note-taking, research, assessment preparation, and building independent learning skills.
Academic Writing & Referencing
Support with academic writing, report preparation, referencing styles, and assessment presentation to help you produce quality work.
Language, Literacy & Numeracy (LLN)
One-on-one assistance and additional learning resources for students who require extra support with language, literacy, or numeracy.
Digital Literacy & LMS Support
Assistance using computers, online learning platforms, email systems, and digital resources required throughout your studies.
Work Placement Support
Guidance regarding placement preparation, workplace expectations, and communication with placement providers before and during placement.
External Student Support Services
From the moment you arrive at BIC, our academic support team is here to help you build the skills and confidence you need to succeed in your studies.
Wellbeing & Pastoral Support
Students experiencing personal challenges are encouraged to seek guidance and support from our student support staff at any time.
Counselling & Mental Health Referral
Students may be referred to external counselling and mental health support services when professional assistance is required.
Disability Support & Reasonable Adjustment
Reasonable adjustments are available for students with disability or medical conditions to support equitable participation in study.
Career Guidance & Employability
Support includes resume guidance, interview preparation, and employability skills development to help you enter the workforce with confidence.
Cultural Inclusion & Diversity

Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Support
Culturally appropriate support services and referral pathways are available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
